FoodHygieneCheck.com ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Copyvisor OÜ, registered in Tallinn, Estonia. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website.

Information we collect

Automatically collected data: When you visit our site, our web server may log your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. This data is used solely for maintaining site security and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

Messages and service requests: If you contact us, we process the details you provide so we can review and respond. Do not send sensitive personal, payment, or authentication information.

Audience measurement: We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. We do not intentionally use advertising pixels. Plausible is a third-party processor; its technical processing and retention are governed by our configuration and agreement with that provider.

Food business data

Food hygiene ratings, inspection results, business names, and addresses displayed on this site originate from public government datasets. Licence and reuse terms vary by source. The UK FSA material is reused under the Open Government Licence; no single licence is asserted for every international dataset.

Data retention

Infrastructure providers may retain server logs for security and delivery. Contact and service requests are retained for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required for an active request or legal obligation. The public directory currently uses source snapshots retrieved on {DATA_SNAPSHOT_DISPLAY}.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you have subscribed to alerts, you can unsubscribe at any time. For any data-related requests, you can contact us through the details below.
